About us

The Mohave Prospectors Association was established back in 1992 by a small group of prospectors interested in sharing their gold claims with friends and family. Yes, you hear it right folks....... we are a family oriented club!

We like to keep things clean and fun for all ages while getting dusty and dirty out on the claims!

The MPA offers participation in outings such as digging for gold, metal detecting, and much more...

By joining our club you will be able to experience Metal detecting contests, bi-annual potlucks, bi-annual losing ticket drawings, monthly meetings, and great chances to meet fun and exciting new people who share the same desire to find gold and other treasures out there in the dirt.

We provide show and tell events locally in Kingman and surrounding area libraries, have booths at civic celebrations, are open to member suggested ideas, and as members.... we all have a chance to vote on decisions regarding how the MPA operates. It gives you a voice that can be heard!

The MPA has local celebrity guests show up and who are well known on the internet. We participate in fundraising events such as Toys for tots and local food bank donations, too.

We like to have a ton of fun in the sun, give back to the community, and teach youngsters about the age old and time tested methods of gold prospecting.
